No More Spectators is a fresh statement of an ancient theme – reproducing the life and mission of Jesus in others. It is written with passion, authority and clarity. While the teachings of Jesus convey a message of truth for the whole world, equally important are the relationships Jesus had with His followers. They model a method of ministry as vital as the message He taught. We cannot separate the life of Jesus from His teachings, just as we cannot separate the incarnation from the cross. All those who want to know and love Jesus intimately, must eventually imitate the way He lived, not just study what He taught. The kingdom of God is advanced through knowing Jesus and leading others to know Him. There is no higher calling on this planet. It is a calling that belongs to every follower of Jesus Christ. No matter what your gift, no matter what your personality, no matter what your position, the words of Jesus to His disciples are the same words that He speaks to you and me today: ‘‘As you are going, teaching and baptizing – make disciples!’’ (Matthew 28:19–20).

“There is no doubt that if a paradigm like this was seriously embraced it would reshape the face of the Evangelical church in the West.”

“This excellent book is written out of a desire to see renewal in Christ’s Church, particularly in the West. The author skilfully pinpoints the disease of ‘spectator Christianity ‘and clearly explains how Christ’s intention for the Church is to live in relationship and to become His disciples. If you’re a lay person wanting to know how to live a New Testament lifestyle, read this book. If you’re a pastor wanting to know how to make disciples hat make disciples – rather that simply attracting spectators – you need to read this book. ”
